Game, manga, anime- Ashton's relationships differ slightly between the three. In the game, everyone is a potential for an ending- whether it be friendly endings with the males or romantic-undertoned endings with the females. In the manga and anime, Ashton sets his sights for romance and is blissfully blind to everyone else. Here are slight recaps of his relationships in all three, and (if in the game) what the ending is like.

Ashton & Claude
Ashton and Claude have a brotherly, occasionally rivalrous (though this is almost always limited to Ashton's side) relationship. Since Claude is the target of affection for both Rena and Precis, Ashton is often more than a little jealous, but they seem to be good friends nonetheless, and fight well together. If you boost their relationship points in the game, their ending has them searching together for a way to remove Ashton's curse and also spare Gyoro and Ururun.

Ashton & Rena
In the game, Ashton starts out with relationship points for Rena that are almost as high as his startings points for Precis. With that said, it's easy for them to end up together if you keep Claude and Precis "exposure" to a minimum. In the manga and anime, they seem good friends, but not overly close. If you get their ending in the game, Ashton goes to Arlia with Rena and stays there happily.

Ashton & Celine
Ashton and Celine don't overly interact in the game, but in the manga and anime it is always Celine who is nagging, pointing out when Ashton is jealous or that he's just been rejected. Of course, she means it all in fun and doesn't mean to hurt his feelings, but likes prodding him anyway. If you pair them up, their ending sees them in a clothing store, with Celine trying on dresses and asking Ashton which he likes better.

Ashton & Precis
Woo, the long one. Not only are they the easiest couple to pair up in the game (aside from Claude and Rena, and based mostly on Ashton's mega affection for Precis), but they are a main plot point in the manga and anime as well. Precis, deep in puppy-love with Claude and happily oblivious to Ashton's affection for her, never seems to notice a thing. Meanwhile, Ashton is throwing himself head-over-heels to make her notice him, usually to no avail. Even in Blue Sphere, when he finally musters enough courage to ask her straight out why she never pays attention to him when he is right there, waiting for her, convenient timing from Leon and embarassment on Precis' part mean that he walks away without an answer. However big her crush is on Claude, however, I feel that Precis will eventually realize that there's a guy who loves her more than the world who has always been waiting for her, and then Ashton will finally get the girl. If you pair them up in the game, Ashton is over at Precis' house and she trips, flustering him and making him worry.

Ashton & Bowman
Odd friendship, no? Though they don't have much interaction, it's still possible to pair them for an ending. Their ending shows them fighting monsters on a beach in El, both sticking around to help clear out the monsters remaining from the Sorcery Globe.

Ashton & Dias
Though it may seem odd, both of them are excellent swordsmen, and might have more to talk about than you'd think. Though, again, there isn't too much interaction in the manga and anime, if you pair them up for an ending you'll see them confronting and fighting some bandits who have taken a hostage.

Ashton & Leon
Now this is a unique one. I can't say that they have excess interaction, of even much interaction at all, but it would be an interesting conversation to listen in on if they did interact. In their ending, they are searching for a special jewel that Leon has discovered has special properties that may separate Ashton from Gyoro and Ururun without harming the dragons.

Ashton & Noel
Both are relatively laid-back, quiet (well, in some instances) guys- perhaps with more in common than first meets the eye. In their ending, they are living in the woods (surrounded by animals, of course), and Ashton is worried about the money for their next month's living expenses. Noel says not to worry, and they both go take naps.

Ashton & Chisato
While at first Chisato might seem a little too opinionated and bossy for Ashton's tastes, it may be that this is what he needs... In their ending, they are (once again) looking for a way to dispel his curse, and Ashton is getting discouraged. Chisato tells him that they'll find what they're looking for as long as they don't give up.

Ashton & Eleanor
A special relationship and ending in the game (and a part of the manga and anime as well), Eleanor is a sickly young girl who lives in the town of Herlie. You can opt to do a sidequest where Ashton gets her some special medicine, curing her. If you do, Ashton will have a special ending with her where he visits her home and she thanks him (and Gyoro and Ururun) for helping her. Ashton says that, if you believe, your wishes can always come true.
