Velhart lives in a cabin just outside of Paltos with his rather intellectual brother. His interests include training, training, and more training, and he is widely known as a great swordsman. Velhart rarely displays any emotion except when it comes to his only family, so when the Academy takes an interest in his brother, Velhart can't help but get involved. Though aloof to the party at first, Velhart realizes that he can help fight and joins to conquer the Academy. Velart is often rather egocentric, but has a soft spot for those that he cares about, which includes the party he is travelling with. He also admires those of great strength and strives to learn to be more like them.
