Harvest Moon 64 is a great game for the Nintendo 64, produced by Natsume. The basic premise is that you are a young boy ("officially" named Jack, but you can name yourself) who moves to a small town to take over your grandfather's farm. In the course of a year, measured by 4 seasons, your goal is to make friends, produce a prosperous farm complete with animals (a horse, cows, chickens, and your faithful doggie), get married, and even have a baby! At the end of a year, your father comes to check on you and see how you've done; then you can go on playing for as many more years as you would like ^_^ (Endless replay value! Trust me!)

HM64 includes a great cast of characters, including the town's ladies, one of which you must choose to befriend, flatter, and otherwise woo and get to love you. The ladies' affection for you is measured by a little heart in the corner of their 'text box' when they talk to you; the system goes as follows:
First level, indifferent.
Second level, friendly.
Third level, flirtatious!
Fourth level, enamored.
Final level, truly in love ^_^

And I'll list the girls (for reference, with mini-pictures):
Ann - the daughter of the owner of the local ranch, Ann loves animals, wool, and "being in good spirits". Your rival for her is Cliff.
Elli - works at the local bakery. She loves cooking, eating, and men who buy and eat stuff from the bakery. Your rival for her is the bakery master, Jeff.
Karen - daughter of the owner of the vineyard. She loves wine, berries, and men who can hold their liquor. Your rival for her is Kai.
Maria - works at the library, daughter of the mayor. She's very shy and softspoken, but loves books and bugs. Your rival for her is the postman, Harris.
Popuri - daughter of the florist, Lilia, and the traveling botanist, Basil. She loves (shockingly) flowers and strawberries. Your rival for her is Ann's brother, Gray.
