Okada joined Johnny & Associates when he was 14 as the (then) first person to not have been a part of Johnny's JR. beforehand. Just 3 months after joining, he debuted as the youngest member of the JE idol group, V6. As the youngest member of V6, he is included in the subgroup- Coming Century.
His parents divored when he was in the second grade, and he lived with his mother and his older sister. His mother and sister are both pianists, and his mother also conducts for a choir.
His first drama role in a TV series was the V6-centered
V no Honoo. After this he co-starred in
DxD with Nagase Tomoya (of Johnny's Entertaiment's TOKIO). In 2005 he was awarded the title of Best Supporting Actor (for
Tiger and Dragon, also with Nagase Tomoya), and in 2006 he won the Ishihara Yuujirou Shinjin Shou (Newcomer Award).
