About Erementar Gerad

Erementar Gerad is the story of a boy, Coud Van Giruett, who is part of a group called the Redlinks (who are essentially air pirates). During his raiding, he comes across what he believes to be a lifelike doll, but turns out to be Reverie Metherlance, a type of human-shaped weapon called an Edil Raid. Edil Raid 'react' with humans (who then become the Raid's "Pleasure") to form weapons with special skills and fight. Ren (Reverie's nickname) is a special kind, a Shichikouhojou. She and Coud team up as he promises to help her reach her destination, the Garden of Eden.
Along the way, they are stopped by a group who was trying to aquire Ren into their posession: Arc Aile, a group who has made it their goal to protect all Edil Raid that they can find. Three members of Arc Aile are Cisqua, Rowen (an Arc Aile "Perfect Guardian"), and Rowen's partner Edil Raid, Kuea. They join Coud and Ren to protect them along their way to the Garden of Eden. However, there are conspiracies at work, and pretty much everyone wants to kidnap or otherwise grab Ren for their own purposes; will they make it to the Garden?

About Rowen

Rowen has been trained by Arc Aile as a Perfect Guardian to fight with Kuea (his parter Raid) and assist in the aquisition of other Edil Raids. Rowen is the one of the group that pretty much does everything well, and thus he's made to do pretty much everything. Rowen is not only the cook, but is generally in charge of going out to earn money for their travels. We find out in episode 7 that Rowen's senpai realized that he was trying for perfection in everything and thus made it impossible for him to complete one training exercise; this was to make Rowen used to losing once in a while, so that (even though he was good at everything else) if a situation came up where he couldn't win, it wouldn't throw him off balance and put him in danger.

About Perfect Guardian

Since Rowen's title is an Arc Aile Perfect Guardian, I thought it would be a fitting name for his fanlisting. PG has been online since August 10, 2005.
