Relena is working hard as an ambassador between Earth and the colonies. She is currently traveling among the colonies. Her current assistant and secretary, a woman named Chris Marly, begins by leading her to a press conference.

Meanwhile, also among the colonies, Duo and Quatre have tea and discuss Relena's responsibility. Duo states that Quatre also must be very busy, as the Winner family heir, he also has a great deal to do with the unification process. In fact, he's on his way to a large colony meeting to discuss problems with the unification.

Elsewhere (presumably somewhere in the L5 cluster), Wufei trains by himself. When he is approached by shady-looking guys, he takes them out easily.

On Earth, Trowa is happy at the circus with Catherine until he is visited by an old war acquaintance, Ralph Kurt. Ralph states cryptically that soldiers are still needed, strange in a time of peace.

After their tea, Duo returns to his shuttle, only to receive a message from Heero that Quatre is in danger. He rushes back to the colony's building where the conference is to take place, but is too late. A large explosion rocks the building, killing everyone at the conference.
