Music!

These are for sampling purposes, not for replacing quality albums.
Swell stuff this time, just SWELL! As always, hope you took the time to read over the rules page, otherwise you might find yourself in a mess. Or you might think you don't need to. In which, that would be incorrect. Misjudged. Wrong. There is no Mrs. Hackel! Yes there is..... your mother! But that's besides the point.

Romu {Plastic Tree}
[J-rock] - [6.3 MB] - [4:38]

I find this to be more in the vein of Pura's more common songs, in comparison to Spica (though both are good songs in my opinion). Moderately paced and easy listening. If you've heard them before, this should be familiar.

Bad Day {Daichi Miura}
[J-hip-pop?] - [6.7 MB] - [4:53]

Very R&B...sy. It's pretty upbeat, considering the namesake. Kinda catchy, though. The part near the end with the high synth sounds kind of like a pan flute... or something out of a carnival. Just a reminder to everybody that they should never fret, and they can fend off, you guessed it, those badmans. Wait no, that's a shirt. Never mind.

Dress {Abingdon Boys School}
[J-rock] - [7.5 MB] - [6:37]

Before they had sorrows, and howling tendencies, and nervous breakdowns, Abingdon got fine dressed. And what better way than with a six minute Buck-Tick cover! Don't recall if Love for Nana or Respective Tracks came first, but if RT did, then I think this is the first Abingdon song (unless you're like "DUDE NO IT'S A COVER WUT" in which case.... yeah). Taking a strong base and expanding upon it with turntables, powerchords, and bridges makes this a pretty rocking super awesome song. Get it if you have the original, get it if you don't. Otherwise they gon' send James the lyricist after you. :D llo

One Foot Out My Life {Doping Panda}
[J-rock] - [3.3 MB] - [2:25]

DP is casual, Engrish pop rock. Some of their stuff is more electronically-backed, but most of the time, it's just guitars, drums, vocals, and fun. I think there's some love in there, too. This is a good example, with a quick lead-in that delivers the Engrish OUTSIDE! (WHAAAAAAAT!?) Or wherever you happen to be. In short, SONG GET!

Ari no Mama (Instrumental) {SE7EN}
[... Instrumental] - [5.3 MB] - [3:54]

I suppose the genre could be "Korean J-pop/hip-hop Instrumental", but when it all gets down to it, it's.... just an instrumental. So this song is full of beats that'll make ya get up and dance, some electronic and guitar interludes every so often, aaaand that's about all. Sadly, you don't get to hear the SE7ENRAP, but it's okay. Imagine it'd be a good song to DJ, but you would have to do the leaps and spins as well. STOP MOTION SWINGING CAMERA spins.

Sun Sun Sun '95 {Ulfuls}
[J-popsurfy] - [6.1 MB] - [4:26]

Last minute addition, and it's a good one. Sad to say, though I enjoyed Baka Survivor, most of the other stuff I heard from them just didn't strike me as much. That's when I realized that though I found most hit or miss, when it hit, it was like a Trident Tackle to my gut! This is a great example. It was a toss-up between this and Damena Mono wa Dame (which is like J-faux discofunk), but this song just struck me so well. It's awesome surf style music with an Ulfuls flair, which essentially means Palm Beach getting blasted with abstract missiles. Definite SONG GET! here, people. Doo doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo, doo, da doo doo, da doo dooooo
